About SARC
SARC (Social Action and Research Centre) is a women’s rights organization founded in 1997 in Varanasi to combat violence against women and child sexual abuse. As one of the first groups in Eastern Uttar Pradesh to address these issues, we have:
- Empowered over 500+ women through legal aid and social support.
- Trained & mobilized 10+ women’s groups to fight gender-based violence.
- Rescued and rehabilitated trafficking survivors.
- Provided vocational training to help women gain financial independence.
Our Fight

Fighting crimes against Children
SARC believes when we fight for a child’s safety today, we are securing a healthier, brighter foundation for the entire world tomorrow.

Fighting for Empowerment of Women
We are fighting to build a world where a woman’s opportunity is measured solely by her talent and ambition, never limited by her gender or geography.
