About SARC

SARC (Social Action and Research Centre) is a women’s rights organization founded in 1997 in Varanasi to combat violence against women and child sexual abuse. As one of the first groups in Eastern Uttar Pradesh to address these issues, we have:

• Empowered over 500+ women through legal aid and social support.
• Trained & mobilized 10+ women’s groups to fight gender-based violence.
• Rescued and rehabilitated trafficking survivors.
• Provided vocational training to help women gain financial independence.
